Bring smile to 300villagers Benin with beekeeping!
This project aims to use the modern beekeeping as a tool of environmental awareness, for wealth creation therefore the fight against poverty. In effect, this project aims at the creation of a value chain beekeeping by the development of the products of the hive (honey, pollen, propolis and wax) for the benefit of 300 villagers in the rural commune of Dassa-Zoume in Center of BENIN in West Africa.

Fund a Sustainable, Green Coal Plant in Benin
Benin is a small, West-African country, with a predominately French-speaking population and a major energy resource problem. In Benin, coal and wood comprise 90% of the country's energy consumption. Due to a lack of alternative fuels, Benin has struggled with deforestation, desertification and proliferation of greenhouse gases. This project will fund the development of a Green Coal plant which will manufacture renewable energy from biomass resources such as agricultural residue and yard wastes.

Computers for youth clubs in Benin
In many countries access to a computer and to the internet are taken for granted and are used extensively by young people both to further their education, but also to communicate and network with each other. Young people in Benin do not enjoy such access. This project will supply computers to youth clubs in eight municipalities in Benin, together with training and support to ensure the computers' proper use and maintenance. It is envisaged up to 15,000 people will benefit.

Engie Energy Access Solar mini-grid Benin
Norad will co-finance with Engie Energy Access (by way of the local branch Engie PowerCorner Benin) the commissioning of a solar mini-grid in Dohouè, leading to both the growth of the local economy and incomegenerating activities in addition to the provision of electricity to the community improving its quality of life (e.g. lightening, entertainment, etc). Among the productive activities, the project expects to accompany the growth of the local palm nut processing industry, which employs mainly women. At the end of the project, 1 000 people will have a newly created electricity connection, and more than 100 women workers of the palm nut industry will see their job improved.
